Tankerton Christmas Market

The Talk of Tankerton run many free events during the year, from street markets to scavenger hunts, our Circus Fair in August, to the Scarecrow Festival in October finishing with our popular Safe Trick ‘O’ Treat on Halloween night and not forgetting the Christmas season with lights, decorated trees, our Christmas Market and family events from late November.
Although these events are totally free to attend, we use them to raise awareness of what Tankerton has to offer, raising crucial funds to continue delivering improvement projects for the whole community. We have sponsorship and trading opportunities available. For more details please look at our events diary.

Tankerton Christmas Market
Sunday 11th December sees the second of our Christmas Markets.
Come and see our Christmas Lights and take part in the fun with Live Music to accompany visitors as they browse the many stalls with a great selection of Christmas items, your sure to find that special gift.
We will be collecting on behalf of Canterbury Food Bank.
The fun takes place on Tankerton Road Shop Forecourts, 11th December 11am – 4pm. Please follow good safety practices and respect others throughout.

Tankerton Christmas Market
Our Christmas Market is a chance for shoppers to find that very special gift you can’t usually buy in the shops.
The market has many local crafts, artists and independent traders with some unique offerings.
Taking place in the safe outdoor space on the forecourts of Tankerton Road shops where people enjoy the sound of Christmas Carols as they browse, enjoy the street decorations of trees and lights and pause for a coffee or bite to eat at one of Tankerton’s cafes.

Great British High Street Finalists
Through the improvement projects we’ve led, the numerous events we’ve held and the support from the community over the years, Tankerton was a finalist in the Great British High Street awards, grabbing the attention of local radio and TV stations.
Always fun, friendly, for families and always free
We love putting on events and providing family entertainment and work hard all year in organising them in our spare time.
We rely on volunteers and donations to make this possible. If you help in anyway, with your time, particular skill or any donation, please let us know.
