Located on the north Kent coast, easily accessible via road and rail, Tankerton is ideally placed to be a base for a short midweek get away, a long weekend or a week-long stay. Just an hour and a half from London by road, A299 via the M2. Rail: Victoria/Chairing Cross to Whitstable or Chestfield train stations, with a short ten-minute walk to the heart of Tankerton.

With the main town of Whitstable easily accessible by foot, it is the perfect location and considerably cheaper than town centre accommodation. The medieval cathedral city of Canterbury is just seven miles away, either hire a bike and follow the Crab and Winkle cycle route or jump on the triangle bus route which takes you to the heart of the city in just thirty minutes.

Dover Castle and Wartime Tunnels and Leeds Castle are just a 45min drive with many other local places of interest easily accessible. It really is the perfect location for everyone. 

Families can enjoy the beautiful sea front; water sport hire are available including paddleboards and windsurfing. There are now several boat trips which launch daily during the summer months from Whitstable harbour including a vintage lifeboat, Thames Barge Gretta and seal watching trips onboard fast craft boats.
